New Orleans,
La.- F.O.I. from
various parts of the state of Louisiana traveled to the city of New Orleans to
attend a state F.O.I. class. The planning for the state class was done by the
brothers who have been given the responsibility of training the male members of
the Nation of Islam throughout the state of Louisiana. The F.O.I. staffs around
the state worked feverishly to make the class meaningful and a success. “The
idea of holding a state F.O.I. class was an excellent one. A lot of planning
went into this effort. I was really edified by the whole experience and I am
thankful for the work of all of those who worked to make the class a success,”
stated Brother Captain Bryan Muhammad of New Orleans.
The brothers
received
training in
areas
ranging from
recruitment
and
retainment
strategies
to creating
a spiritual
bond with
your
spouse. The
classes were
interactive
and the
brothers
gave their
input and
shared their
experiences.
The “State
F.O.I.
Class” in
itself
touched many
of the
brothers who
attended.
“It is a
blessing to
be in the
F.O.I. and
to be around
some more
brothers in
the Nation
who love one
another,”
stated
Brother
Cedric X of
Baton Rogue.
The F.O.I in
attendance
were also
blessed with
the
opportunity
to hear from
Brother
Minister
Jabril
Muhammad via
a telephone
conference
called. The
brothers
were elated
and listened

of studying,
how to
protect the
brotherhood,
the Final

role in the
Mission of
Resurrection
and value of
the
Honorable

Louis
Farrakhan.
“Hearing
from Bro.
Minister
Jabril
renewed my
faith in our
God, Master
Fard
Muhammad,
the Most
Honorable
Elijah
Muhammad and
the
Honorable
Minister
Louis
Farrakhan.
His teaching
us about the
importance
of making
peace with
one another
before going
out to meet
our people
was
excellent.
Brother
Jabril’s
spirit,
willingness,
and
sacrifices
shows his
dedication
to the
Teachings
and is very
encouraging
to me,”
stated Bro.
Ghani
Muhammad,
who trains
the male
members in
the city of
Baton
Rouge. “His
talk was
needed. It
inspired me
a lot. It
was a
blessing to
be here and
listen to
Brother
Minister
Jabril,”
stated
Brother
Nasir
Muhammad, of
Monroe, La.
Brother
Minister
Jabril’s
words were
timely and
helped to
further
inspire the
brothers for
the
community
outreach
activity
that was
scheduled.
The brothers
lined up in
ranks to
drill and to
be informed
of what
housing
development
they were
going to be
deployed to.
Armed with
the Final
Call
Newspaper
and
information
concerning
the Millions
More
Movement the
brothers
were ready
to engage
falsehood
head on.
“Going out
into the
community
was the part
of the class
I personally
enjoyed the
most.
Greeting our
people in
the
communities
where they
live is
always a
rewarding
experience,”
state Bro.
Walter
Muhammad, of
New Orleans.
Passersby
not only saw
the Fruit of
Islam
drilling and
distributing
the Final
Call
Newspaper,
they also
saw huge
murals
promoting
the Millions
More
Movement
that had
been painted
on both
sides of the
trailer of a
truck owned
by a F.O.I.
in the city
of New
Orleans.
After
working in
the
community
the brothers
returned to
the mosque
to
participate
in a quiz
bowl that
tested their
understanding
of the
Teachings of
the Most
Hon. Elijah
Muhammad and
the history
of the
Nation of
Islam. Once
completed
the Fruit of
Islam sat
down an
enjoyed a
meal that
was
graciously
prepared by
the local
M.G.T. The
meal was
followed by
an awards
ceremony
that honored
a
hardworking
soldier from
each
respective
city. The
brothers
heard
closing
remarks from
Minister
Willie
Muhammad of
Mosque #46,
encouraging
them to
increase the
work in the
mission of
resurrection
and pick up
the pace in
